Evelyn De Morgan


Evelyn De Morgan (1855 – 1919) foi uma pintora Inglesa com influência na Irmandade Pré-Rafaelita. Evelyn foi educada em casa até aos quinze anos, onde aprendeu os primeiros traços de desenho. No dia em que fez dezassete anos, Evelyn escreveu no seu diário, "Art is eternal, but life is short..." "I will make up for it now, I have not a moment to lose." Botticelli foi um dos pintores que mais a influenciou.

City Space by Clarissa Bonet


O espaço urbano é impressionante. Os seus edifícios são altos e misteriosos, multidões de pessoas anónimas, o infinito mar de cimento intriga-me. City Space é uma exploração fotográfica permanente do ambiente urbano e a minha percepção dela. Estou interessada no espaço físico da cidade e seu impacto emocional e psicológico sobre o corpo. Estas fotografias reconstroem eventos mundanos na cidade que eu tenho vivido ou testemunhado em público. A luz tímida, as sombras profundas e as cores suaves, são estratégias visuais que exploro para descrever a cidade. Eu uso a cidade como um palco que transforma o espaço físico em psicológico. As imagens que eu crio não representam uma comunidade vivida, mas sim uma interpretação pessoal da paisagem urbana.
